2025-2026 Kindergarten Enrollment

Welcome Class of 2038!

We're excited to welcome our newest Milford Eagles to the flock! At Milford Schools, we take pride in our strong sense of community and tradition. Kindergarten is a major milestone, and we’re thrilled to partner with our families as we soar into this educational journey together. Let’s make it a year to remember as your child begins their adventure in learning, growing, and becoming part of the Milford legacy.

All-Day Kindergarten Returns for 2025-2026

Despite the failure of the Earned Income Tax in November, we are pleased to announce that All-Day Kindergarten will continue to be offered for the 2025-2026 school year.

Costs

Due to financial constraints, the enrollment fee for All-Day Kindergarten is now $5,000. Payments can be made in 10 monthly installments of $500, starting on August 1, 2025, and ending on May 1, 2026. This fee helps cover the costs of providing a full-day educational experience, including enhanced instruction, enrichment activities, and additional support for student growth.

What’s the Difference Between Half-Day and All-Day Kindergarten?

  • Half-Day Kindergarten: A free program that focuses on core academic subjects and foundational skills, offered in 3.5-hour sessions. Each school will provide both AM and PM options, with specific availability determined by transportation eligibility.

  • All-Day Kindergarten: An extended program offering more comprehensive instruction, enrichment activities, and additional opportunities for social and emotional development.

We encourage families to consider which option best fits their child’s needs and finances.

All-Day Kindergarten Lottery Process

Enrollment for All-Day Kindergarten is conducted through a lottery system due to limited spots available. The lottery ensures fairness and equal opportunity for all families wishing to participate in the All-Day Kindergarten program.

If there’s a waitlist for your first-choice school, you can opt for your second or third choice. Note: Parents must provide transportation if the chosen school is not the child’s school of residence.

Scholarships

Due to financial constraints, the District is no longer able to offer scholarships for the 2025-2026 school year. However, we are aware that many families rely on this funding to help pay for their child’s tuition. As such, the District is actively exploring alternative funding sources and partnerships to reinstate financial support options in the future.

Families can still indicate if they would like to apply for a scholarship, as this helps us gauge interest and prioritize efforts to secure funding. Should the District secure alternative financial sources, scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, making it important for families to express their interest as early as possible.

If there are any tuition scholarships available, they will only be given to students in the All-Day program for families qualifying for the Free or Reduced Meal Program. Please fill out the Scholarship Intent form which will open on March 3, 2025 to receive more information.

We look forward to welcoming your family to Milford Schools and the Class of 2038!
