Dr. Tyler Arnold Concludes Tenure as Milford High Principal; District Prepares for Leadership Search

Milford Exempted Village Schools announces that Dr. Tyler Arnold, Principal of Milford High School, will be stepping down at the end of the school year.

Dr. Arnold has led Milford High since 2021 with compassion, dedication, and a strong focus on student-centered growth.

“I want to thank everyone at Milford for the opportunity to serve as principal. When I first stepped into this role, I was a new and relatively inexperienced administrator, and you took a chance on me. For that, I am genuinely thankful,” said Dr. Arnold.

Since becoming principal, Dr. Arnold has guided Milford High School through continuous growth and achievement. Under his leadership, the school has consistently maintained a 4.5-star rating, remained one of the top-ranked schools in the area, and earned recognition through a Silver Star designation for PBIS and a Gold distinction for its AP program.

“What I am most proud of, however, is the voice we’ve given to both our students and staff. Together, we’ve shaped a school culture that reflects their values and aspirations—one that genuinely prepares them for the future they envision,” said Dr. Arnold.

Dr. Arnold has always emphasized leadership rooted in service, and his personal mantra serves as a parting message to students and staff alike:

“Always leave people and places better than you found them.”

Milford Schools will begin the process of finding a new principal to fill Dr. Arnold’s shoes for the 2025–2026 school year. The District understands how important this role is within our District and wants to reassure families, students, and staff that this hiring decision will not be made lightly.

Milford Schools asks for your patience as we work through this transition and prepare for the future. It is our goal to be thoughtful and inclusive throughout this process. We are committed to seeking input from our staff, students, and the broader Milford community as we search for our next building leader.

Details regarding the search for Milford High School’s next principal will be shared in the coming weeks.

MEVSD thanks Dr. Arnold for his years of leadership and service, and wishes him nothing but the best in his next chapter.
