ODNR Visit

Exploring Ohio Wildlife with Meghan Veeley from ODNR

Last week, Meghan Veeley, a Naturalist from East Fork State Park, visited Mrs. Rawlins' class to share her expertise on Ohio's wildlife. Students had the unique opportunity to learn about the animals that call Ohio home while interacting with fascinating items like animal furs, skulls, and shells. Meghan even brought a live box turtle, adding an exciting hands-on element to the experience!

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) aims to inspire children and families to explore Ohio's state parks, which are among the few in the nation offering free admission. Meghan also provided trail guides, park maps, and educational packets, encouraging students to connect with nature and discover all that our beautiful state parks have to offer.
