PBIS

Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) is a framework used to organize a broad range of systematic and individualized strategies for achieving important social and learning outcomes in school communities while preventing problem behavior.

In 2015-2016, Seipelt Elementary attended training through the State Support Team to solidify practices in positive behavior supports. The intent of the team was to lead the school staff in solidifying a system of support for all students to encourage and improve overall student wellness.

The Tier 1 PBIS program, Soaring at Seipelt, was launched during the 2016-2017 with Tier 2 implementation fully underway in 2018-2019.  Tier 3 planning and implementation has been solidified during the 2023-2024 school year.  All Tiers are reassessed each year and changes made accordingly.
