Milford Winter Signees

The Milford High School Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that five members of its Class of 2025 will continue their athletic careers on the collegiate level. The student-athletes that have committed to continuing their academic and athletic futures are Ava Bowen (Women’s Volleyball-Heidelberg University), Camille Burton (Women’s Volleyball-Thomas More University), Timothy Dick (Football-Thomas More University), Cole Huffer (Football-Georgetown College) and Carter Ings (Football-Wabash College).

Bowen was a two-year varsity player for the Eagles as a defensive specialist. During her career, she averaged nearly two digs per set, while recording 14 service aces. Bowen helped the Eagles to 15 wins and an OHSAA District Championship last fall.

At Heidelberg, an NCAA Division III program in Tiffin, OH, Bowen will play for head coach Jason Miller. Ava is the daughter of Chris and Maranda Bowen.

Burton had a banner senior campaign, capped by earning second team All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference and All-Southwest District honors. She also picked up an all-district academic award for her work in the classroom. In leading Milford to an OHSAA District Championship, Burton was fourth among all ECC players with 684 assists, was in the top-15 with 2.93 digs per set and tied for ninth with 45 aces.

At Thomas More, an NCAA Division II program in Crestview Hills, KY, Burton will play for head coach Holly Bronner Stiver. Camille is the daughter of Mariah and Darrell Burton.

Dick was a key member of Milford’s defensive backfield and special teams for three seasons. He finished his career with 80 tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Before his senior season was cut short by injury, Dick was also a force as a returner, finishing with 112 return yards on just six touches.

At Thomas More, an NCAA Division II program in Crestview Hills, KY, Dick will play for head coach Chris Norwell. Timothy is the son of Jason and Danielle Dick.

Huffer was an anchor on the Eagle offensive line for the last two seasons, seeing time at both guard and tackle. He was a regular at right guard during Milford’s historic 2023 undefeated regular season. Huffer moved to left guard and eventually right tackle during a senior campaign cut short by injury.

At Georgetown, an NAIA program in Georgetown, KY, Huffer will play for head coach John Perin. Cole is the son of Joe and Heidi Huffer.

After playing primarily defensive back during his career, Ings became Milford’s breakout star of 2024 after moving to wide receiver for his senior year. On his way to first team All-ECC accolades, Ings caught 46 passes for 551 yards and three touchdowns, including a 78-yarder against Anderson. Ings’ senior year also featured 246 total return yards. Defensively, Ings finished with 30 career tackles and a pair of interceptions.

This group joins three other Class of 2025 members who announced college commitments earlier this school year. Further signee information will be shared throughout the 2024-25 academic year as it is finalized.
