ECC Athletes of the Week September 23

Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!

Cam Burton
Senior, Milford Volleyball

Cam helped lead the Lady Eagles to three victories this week over Lebanon, Kings, and Harrison racking up 105 assists, 10 aces, six blocks, 46 digs, and nine kills. Her outstanding decision-making and set placement led the Lady Eagle offense to a 0.235 hitting percentage for the three matches. Way to go, Cam!

Carter Ings
Senior, Milford Football

Carter is settling in as a starting wide receiver for the Eagles after beginning the year as a starter on defense. Against West Clermont, he had team-highs seven receptions for 68 yards, including a long of 24. In two weeks, he has 13 catches for 113 yards.

Corrine Newman
Senior, Milford Cross Country

With the varsity team taking the weekend off, Corrine stepped up to help lead the team at the Cedarville Invitational. Corrine continues to have a strong senior season contributing to the team.

Risha Patel
Sophomore, Milford Golf

Risha has made significant strides in her golf game this season. In the past two weeks, Risha has been a match medalist three times with her low scores. This has helped lead us to two match wins as well! Risha scored her lowest ever in an 18-hole match at Walden Ponds last week with an 88! This helped us secure a sixth-place finish in the Conference. Risha always has an upbeat attitude and a big smile on her face. She is always encouraging to her teammates and to those on the opposing teams as well. She is lighthearted and a positive role model on the team. It is a pleasure to have her on our varsity team. I know there are lots of good things coming her way as she continues to improve her game. Congratulations Risha! We love you!

Matthew Perrin
Junior, Milford Cross Country

Matthew continues to work hard, train well, and see the results on the cross country race course! He ran a lifetime PR at the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational in Louisville this past weekend in really tough conditions. He has been a key contributor to the team and is getting better each week!
