The Milford Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Josh McDaniel as Assistant Athletic Director. McDaniel, formerly of ProForce Sports Performance, will join the department headed by Director of Athletics Aaron Zupka.

McDaniel has served as the Chief Performance Officer at ProForce for the last year. ProFroce is a partner organization of Milford Athletics, providing strength and conditioning coaching to Milford student-athletes. McDaniel has served in a variety of roles at ProForce since joining the organization in August 2018. In the Fall 2020, McDaniel led the grant writing process for Milford’s new turf field. As a result of his efforts, the Eagles were awarded a $250,000 NFL Grassroots Foundation grant.

“We are very fortunate to add someone of Josh's caliber to our Milford Athletic Department staff!” Zupka stated. “Josh already has great familiarity with our student-athletes and coaches through his time at ProForce that will allow him to hit the ground running. In addition to his stellar background, he and his family have strong ties to the ECC and the Milford Community which is a huge plus. We've got ourselves a rising star in the making with Josh! Get excited Eagles, we landed a good one!”

“I’m excited to take on the role of Assistant Director of Athletics,” McDaniel added. “I have loved working with Milford High School’s teams in a coaching role for the past three and a half years, and I can’t wait to continue to serve our coaches, student-athletes, and community in this position. Let ‘M’ Know!”

McDaniel is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a BS of Science in Education as an Exercise Science major. He went on to earn a Master’s in Sports Administration from the University of Cincinnati in 2020.

McDaniel will begin his duties at Milford on July 1.
