Ensembles Perform at OMEA Conference
On February 1, 2020 the High School Wind Ensemble and Junior High Percussion Ensemble performed at the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Professional Development Conference - this is a huge honor. From around the state 135 student ensembles applied, and only five bands and two percussion ensembles were invited to perform, and Milford took TWO of those slots! Way to go Eagles!
The HS Wind Ensemble comprises 55 students and the JH Percussion Ensemble comprises 17 students. The OMEA Professional Development Conference is held each year to provide clinics and concerts for music educators from across the state. The concert performances highlight outstanding student, collegiate, and professional ensembles who are presented as the best in the state in their respective categories. The concerts were held at the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati.
