Milford High School Named 2018 Purple Heart Designee

On December 7, the Ohio Department of Education awarded Milford High School with the prestigious Purple Star designation. The Purple Star Award for military-friendly schools recognizes schools that show a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military.

In notifying Milford High School of the award, Ohio Superintendent of Public Instruction, Paolo DeMaria said, "I am pleased to inform you that the Ohio Department of Education selected Milford High School as a 2018 Purple Star designee. We applaud and appreciate your outstanding commitment to serving military students and families in your school. Your dedicated program truly serves as an inspiring model for other schools in Ohio to follow."

Thank you to our tremendous staff who encourages and supports our students from military families and for this incredible community who regularly supports and recognizes the service and sacrifice of the military.
