Mallory - TPA organization president

Teaching Professions Academy student Mallory Klingshirn, a Senior, has been elected President of the Educators Rising Ohio career and technical skills organization. She will play an instrumental role in leading the state organization on initiatives and community service projects, as well as help to plan the state conference that will be held in March at Capital University. Once a month, she travels to Columbus with Mrs. Norsworthy, TPA Teacher, and they work with the Executive Committee for the organization, which not only includes other student officers and their teachers, but representatives from Ohio Department of Education and the Dean of Education at Capital University.

"She continues to grow as a leader right before my very eyes every month as she leads the monthly meetings utilizing parliamentary procedures and working with her team of executive officers," Mrs. Norsworthy said.

TPA is a program offered at Milford High School in affiliation with Great Oaks Career Campuses. The program allows students interested in going into the teaching field to get a head start to see if teaching is the right fit for them. During their senior year, students have the opportunity to go out into the district and work with elementary and junior high teachers and their students in internship.
