Milford Schools closed Monday, Feb. 14 for Snow Dey

Since the beginning of the school year, Milford Schools have been consistent in the message that students thrive and achieve best when they are in the classroom. All of our efforts in keeping students and staff healthy have been toward that goal.
However, no one can deny that the Cincinnati Bengals’ recent historic run to Super Bowl LVI has captured the hearts and minds of the Milford community and Bengals fans everywhere.
Milford will join with several other area school districts by deeming Monday, Feb. 14 a calamity day for students, with no remote learning required. Milford staff and students will not report.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, in his Heisman trophy acceptance speech, talked about helping the less fortunate residents in Athens County where he grew up.
In that same spirit – during the lead up to the Super Bowl and beyond – we would ask our community to consider helping those less fortunate right here in our community by contributing to our local non-profit organization, Feed Our Flock. This organization feeds more than 400 students weekly and the program requires $80,000 per year to sustain. You can contribute at FeedOurFlock.org.
