Milford High School has climbed in its ranking in the 2022 U.S. News Best High School rankings released Tuesday.

Milford is ranked 59th in all high schools in Ohio and 15th in the Cincinnati metro area, according to the recent rankings. Milford was ranked 68 in 2020 and 94 in 2019. Out of the top 60 schools in the state, 12 are located in southwestern Ohio. Ottawa Hills near Toledo was rated No. 1.

The Best High Schools rankings take a comprehensive approach to evaluating schools,” Eric Brooks, principal data analyst at U.S. News said in a news release. “Looking at factors like graduation rates and underserved student performance, families can use this information to learn more about their local schools.”

U.S. News ranked approximately 17,840 public high schools with a 12th-grade enrollment of at least 15 students or sufficient enrollment in other high school grades during the 2019-2020 school year.
