A seasoned professional will be taking over leadership of the Milford Exempted Village School District’s communications efforts after the Board approved a new hire last month.

Krista Boyle, former chief communications and marketing officer at Cincinnati Public Schools, will be the new Milford director of communications beginning May 9.

Boyle had been with Cincinnati Public Schools since March 2020. While there, she was responsible for all aspects of internal and external communications and marketing for the district. Boyle joined the district in the very earliest days of the pandemic, and helped the district of 65 schools and 36,000 students develop communication about the district’s response to COVID, among other initiatives.

Boyle also worked for 16 years at Convergys, where, among other roles, she served as chief of staff, account management director and finally vice president of global brand and communications.

The lifelong resident of Milford said she is excited to be coming home.

“I am honored and excited to be able to do the work I love in my hometown. To be able to serve in the community in which I was raised and live today is the perfect next step in my career. I can’t wait to meet our students, families and staff,” Boyle said.

Boyle has a bachelor’s of arts from Otterbein College and a master’s of business administration from the University of Cincinnati.

Milford Superintendent John Spieser said he was excited to bring someone with Boyle’s experience into the district.

“We told Krista that we want to take our communication efforts to the next level, and we believe she is the perfect person to help us do that,” he said. “We are thrilled to have her get started.”
