Clermont Chamber Endorses Milford School District Bond Issue

On April 15, 2019 the Clermont Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of the Milford Schools bond issue on the May 7, 2019 ballot. The Clermont Chamber of Commerce announced this position after the district completed a detailed questionnaire, gave a formal presentation, and answered questions from the Chamber’s Government Affairs and Ballot Issues Committee.
“For over forty-five years, the Clermont Chamber has focused on safeguarding and strengthening the collective interests of the Clermont County business community,” said Matt Van Sant, President/CEO of the Clermont Chamber of Commerce. “School ballot issues impact business and workforce development activity and our overall quality of life and we must consider the impact of these proposals.”
Citing building overcrowding, poor building conditions, the opportunity to improve education for grades 6-8, fiscal responsibility, and strong management led to the Chamber’s endorsement of the school’s bond issue.
“We are grateful for the Chamber’s endorsement and know that a strong school district is essential to a strong community and strong workforce,” shared Milford Superintendent Nancy House.
