Milford Hires New Treasurer

Mr. Brian S. Rabe has been named the next Treasurer of the Milford Exempted Village Milford School District. He was approved at the Board of Education meeting held on May 10, 2018.

Mr. Rabe is currently the treasurer of Southwest Local School District in Harrison where he has served since 2014. He has been a school treasurer since 1999 and has experience in a number of area districts. Mr. Rabe graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with majors in both Accounting and Finance.

School treasurers run in the Rabe family. Mr. Rabe’s father worked as a school treasurer for more than 25 years. His uncle and cousin also work as school treasurers.

“We are fortunate to hire such a seasoned Treasurer. Mr. Rabe is incredibly knowledgeable about school finance. His experience will enable the district to make a seamless transition,” said Milford Board President George Lucas.

Mr. Rabe’s contract begins on August 1, 2018. He is replacing Debbie Caudle who has taken a position with the Ohio Department of Education. Interim Treasurer Julia Toth will be assisting Mr. Rabe with the transition.
