Milford Administration Changes for 2018-2019
In the 2018-2019 school year, familiar faces will take on new administrative roles in the district. Ms. Sarah Greb, current Principal of Charles L. Seipelt Elementary, will become the Principal of Mulberry Elementary. Milford Preschool Director, Mrs. Minna Espy, is being recommended to become the Assistant Principal at Mulberry to support Ms. Greb in her new role. Mrs. Sarah Sloan, current Mulberry Principal, will become the new Director of the Milford Preschool.
Ms. Greb began her career in Milford as a teacher at Mulberry Elementary. She is ready for the challenge of leading a larger school. Mulberry currently has 635 students while Seipelt has 456 students. Mrs. Espy is excited to broaden her administrative experience in an elementary school setting.
In addition to serving as the new director of the Milford Preschool, Mrs. Sloan will also be an instructional coach supporting new teachers districtwide in the ReadyGEN program, which is the literacy program used in grades K-6. Mrs. Sloan has experience in both elementary and junior high administration and is looking forward to expanding her administrative skills at the preschool level and assisting new teachers in literacy education.
The district will begin a search immediately for a replacement for Ms. Greb. We will include Seipelt teachers, parent representatives, and members of our administrative team on this search committee. The goal is to have a new principal approved by the May Board of Education meeting.
