Find Your Child's Bus Route

Posted on: August 7, 2018

We look forward to welcoming your child to Milford Schools on our first day of school next Wednesday, August 15. If your child receives bus service, please read the following information from our Transportation Department. If you have any questions about your child’s bus route, please call our Transportation Department at (513) 575-1563.

Find Your Child’s Bus Route

Starting this school year, instead of sending a postcard home with bus route information, you can find your child's bus route online using his or her student ID number (same as the lunch number). A letter was mailed home on August 6, 2018 to all parents of incoming kindergarten students with your child's student ID number. If you are a parent of a new student and did not receive an ID number, please call your child's school. Parents of private/parochial students served by our district can log on using their 10-digit home phone number for their username and password.

Starting this school year, instead of sending a postcard home with route information, we are using your child’s ID number to find bus routes online. You can find your child’s bus route via ELinks located under the Transportation Department at www.milfordschools.org or go directly to the following link:
https://elink.nationalexpresscorp.com/ElinkMilfordOH
1.Use your child's student ID number for both the username and password.
2.Click on “work with students.”
3.Click on “view my students.”
4.Click on your “student's name” to view transportation record.

Transportation Procedures/Forms

For preschool and kindergarten students, a parent or an adult listed on the "release to" form MUST be present at the bus stop at all times. If your child needs to be dropped at an alternate location (sitter, grandparent’s house) or there is a shared parenting arrangement, you must fill out a form with our transportation department. You must also fill out a child release form to provide the authority for other adults to pick up students and for drivers to release students to adults other than the parents. All forms are located on our transportation department’s webpage.  Note: These forms take 5 days to process.

Times/Possible Delays

Please arrive at your bus stop 5 minutes before your assigned time. There may delays during the first week of school as we establish our new bus routes. Throughout the school year, the district continues to receive new students and students with a change of address. These changes may impact the routing slightly throughout the year. We ask that parents give us a 5-7 minute window and check ELinks for updates.

Impact of Branch Hill Detour

We received notification from the Clermont County Engineer’s Office that the work on Branch Hill Guinea Pike will not be completed as expected before the start of school. Branch Hill is not expected to re-open until September 15, 2018. This closure will be challenging not only for Boyd E. Smith families, but will impact our bus routes for students who live in this area attending Milford Preschool, McCormick, Milford Junior High, Milford High School, and St. Andrew-St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. We ask for your patience as we navigate this challenge and re-route our buses. Expect delays and longer bus rides as we work through these new routes.

Find the map of the closure, as well as, a letter and FAQ's from the Clermont County Engineer with more details below.
