Day of Hope April 29

Posted on: April 29, 2020
Day of Hope 2020
Prior to schools being closed, Milford High School's Hope Squad was planning to spread awareness about mental health by celebrating a Day of Hope planned for today, April 29. They were planning to hand out literature and information to local businesses in Milford and Miami Township. Since they can't do that now, their efforts will be virtual and they'll be joining other student-led Hope Squads in our region for a video chat this afternoon.

Although the in-person Day of Hope was postponed, we're still showing support for this effort and we're asking our community to show their support by wearing yellow today.

The goal of student-led Hope Squads is to create a supportive environment for their peers, showing them it is okay to ask for help. Hope Squad members are also trained to step in and help students who may be struggling.
