At the Milford Board of Education meeting held on February 15, 2018, Mr. Dan Yeager was approved as the district’s new  Director of Fine Arts, Activities and Assistant Athletics for grades 7-12. Mr. Yeager has served as the Assistant Principal at Milford Junior High School for the past eight years. He will begin his new position on August 1, 2018.

In this new role, Mr. Yeager will supervise all of the staff responsible for non-athletic extracurricular activities and will recruit and train staff and conduct performance evaluations. He will plan, coordinate, and supervise programs, activities, and special events and be responsible for the annual program budgets.

“With the large number of students who participate in our outstanding fine arts and extracurricular programs, we felt the need to have a director to support and grow these programs,” said District Superintendent, Nancy House. “Mr. Yeager’s enthusiasm and experience are perfect for this new position.”

Prior to coming to Milford in 2008, Mr. Yeager was a teacher, coach, advisor, and summer school principal at Anderson High School for ten years.  He has his Master of Arts in Instructional Leadership from Northern Kentucky University. He also received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from NKU.

“Building meaningful relationships is at the heart of what I believe education is truly about.  I am excited about my opportunity in the 2018-19 school year to lead the district in providing meaningful extracurricular opportunities that engage students and allow them to create connections to peers and adults while at school,” Mr. Yeager said.

With Mr. Yeager’s move, Mr. Todd Wells has been named the new assistant principal at Milford Junior High School. Mr. Wells is currently the district’s Coordinator of Special Education. Prior to working in Special Education, he was the assistant principal of Milford Junior High School during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 school years.

“I really enjoyed my time at the junior high school and look forward to working with the staff and students again,” Mr. Wells said.
