Information about Testing & Remote Days for JH/HS

Posted on: March 19, 2021

The State of Ohio requires all students in grades 3 through 8 to take standardized tests each year in language arts and mathematics. Students in grades 5 and 8 also take state tests in science. The State of Ohio also requires all students enrolled in high school courses to take the following tests for graduation: Algebra 1, Biology, Geometry, English 2, American History, and American Government.

Federal and state laws require all districts and schools to test all students in specific grades and courses. There is no law that allows a parent or student to opt out of state testing, even this school year during the pandemic.

This presentation goes into detail about how testing will occur this spring. If you have any questions or concerns about testing, reach out to your student's Principal

In March and April there are two days at the Junior High and two days at the High School which have been turned into remote learning days for in-person learners to accommodate bringing in Eagle Online learners for testing:

  • JUNIOR HIGH: Friday, March 26 and Friday April 23 In-Person students will learn remotely.
  • HIGH SCHOOL: Wednesday, March 31 and Friday, April 30 In-Person students will learn remotely.
