For the 2009 school year, the regular board meetings will take place at a variety of district locations. All meetings begin at 7:00 p.m unless otherwise noted. Review the schedule below for scheduled locations.

To avoid problems, we highly recommend that you update your Acrobat Reader before clicking on the link. The download and install can take several minutes. Read instructions carefully when presented on screen. A machine restart may be required after installation. You will definitely need to close all Internet browser windows and programs after the install and then come back to the website and click the Board Policies link. This is a one time process that will not need to be repeated in the future.
Once installed and the Board Policy document is opened you will find a search window in the top right of the Acrobat Reader screen to help you locate the policy information you are looking for. All policies are in alphabetical order by title not policy number. To cross reference a policy number to its title, refer to the INDEXES which are in the list of policies under letter I.

The Board relies on administrators to gather information related to each committee discussion to aid in its decision-making process.
Each board member is elected to the position. They spend countless hours researching material and reading information distributed through a variety of sources to keep up to date on educational issues.
Board Meetings:
The Milford Board of Education meets for its regular meeting one time every month. The meeting is set on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. For 2008, the meetings will take place at a variety of locations of schools in the district.
The district created a Strategic Plan in 2001. It was evaluated for progress in 2003. Committee members, representing the community as well as the schools, re-visited and updated the plan in 2004. In 2008, the board decided to create a new long range plan for the district. With staff, parent, student and community input, the district created a new plan that is now in a draft form.
